Newborn sessions are the heart of The Morgan Studio. I know this time is incredibly special for your family but also quite exhausting. My goal is to make sure creating these images for your family is relaxed, easy, and as stress-free as possible. From the beautiful natural light studio, the curated wardrobe, my patient personality, and posing direction, you will receive a beautiful and timeless gallery of images to hold on to these memories.
Family
Newborn sessions can include parents and the full family. While much excitement surrounds the baby, it’s just as much of a celebration for everyone. We want to remember baby’s toes and squishy cheeks, but we also want baby to see us celebrating his or her arrival. I know my most cherished portrait of my own mother is her holding me in her arms when I was a baby. These photos become our legacy and are just as important as all those baby details.

Multiples
Twins and triplets are a big part of The Morgan Studio. I have years of experience with multiples and proudly consider myself an expert in the niche world of multiples. We can’t stress enough how important it is to have an experienced multiples photographer and assistant posing your babies. Newborn photography is already a specialized skill, but multiples take this to a different level.
Siblings
Sibling photos are often one of the first things parent thinks of when they picture their new baby’s newborn photos. We have encountered all types of siblings of all ages. While sometimes we have to think outside the box or get creative, incorporating siblings with baby are a partof many of our sessions. Just wait until you see all the tricks we have up our sleeves!

THE STUDIO
Our all white, naturally lit, newborn and family studio provides a blank canvas to create simple & timeless images for your family. The space also includes a traditional studio room with backdrops, white wood plank floors and studio lighting. I love working together with my clients to create their perfect session with both of these options in studio. The studio is a relaxed environment and I hope you feel at home here.
We are located at 1000 Johnson Ferry Rd. Marietta 30068 – 4 miles north of 285/Riverside drive between East Cobb and Sandy Springs.
THE WARDROBE
Within weeks of having your new baby, you may be feeling sleep-deprived and uneasy about being in front of the camera. Maybe you don’t know what fits anymore since so much has changed. I want to make this one part of those early days that is easy and as low stress as possible. Also included in your studio session is access to a curated collection of dresses and children’s clothes. Beautiful and delicate newborn bows, headbands, wraps, and simple props make planning your session simple. All you need to bring is baby. We will take care of the rest.
All are sized to fit postpartum moms beautifully. Since you deserve the world right now, consider adding on professional hair and makeup services in the studio for a relaxing, pampering experience.
THE products
The final step to this simple process. Actually enjoying your images. It seems simple really. You may be used to receiving your digital images and feeling like the session is wrapped up. But then what happens. Do those digital files ever go anywhere other than social media? Does the thought of doing something with your images just feel like yet another item on your to do list? We are all busy these days and part of my service is to take care of this for you. From beautiful albums, prints and other products, you will have your memories ready to go. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
The studio is located between East Cobb, Sandy Springs and Roswell, 4.5 miles north of 285/Riverside Drive.
WHEN DO NEWBORN SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
Ideally between 8-18 days old when possible. Dates are adjusted for multiples, pre term babies and for other circumstances. “Older newborns” can be photographed with less sleepy sessions up to 2 months. See the family newborn session for older babies.
HOW LONG DOES A NEWBORN SESSION LAST?
Petite sessions last between an hour. Full sessions last up to 3 hours to allow for feeding, diaper changes,soothing, unsettled siblings etc.
DO YOU HAVE PROPS AND BLANKETS?
Yes! You don’t need to bring anything other than baby! We have a curated collection of wraps, headbands, backdrops, blankets,simple props and the studio wardrobe.
HOW DO YOU GET BABIES TO SLEEP DURING THE SESSION?
I’ve been called everything from a baby whisperer to a magician. 11 years of experience posing and soothing newborns has given me lots of tricks up my sleeve. We plan for a full tummy and provide a warm soothing space during posing.
